Park on the street and go to the back of the St. George Catholic Church parking lot, where there is a pedestrian gate and several hiking paths. The furthest path leads to the deepest part of the river, which is the best place for swimming.
There is also an amazing expanse of flat rocks downstream, with streams running through them, that are perfect for sunbathing.
Take care when visiting this beautiful spot, as the rocks there can be slippery.
Getting there: Take County Route 23 north from Malone and turn right on US 11, following signs for Burke. After crossing the bridge in Burke, take the first right on Depot Street. Look for St. George Catholic Church on the right and park in the road.
