The Macomb Trail, a short but pretty hike, is located just a short distance from downtown Malone.

Hiking

This round trip is 0.75 miles, with an elevation change of less than 100 feet. The scenery, around the Macomb Hydro plant and dam, is very pretty.

Birding

Lake Lamica was formed by this water project, and is home to many birds and fish.

From Malone, go north on Park Street to the Brand Rd/Shears Rd intersection. Turn right onto Shears Rd and go up the hill .25 of a mile to the Macomb Trail parking lot on the left.
