It's always ice time at the Malone Civic Center. All winter, it supports the Malone Youth Hockey Association, the Franklin Academy boys and girls hockey teams, two adult hockey leagues, the Malone Figure Skating Club, and Open Rink sessions for the public.

Hockey clubs and classes use the ice rinks for practice and tournaments. The 46ers Hockey Club is designed to offer North Country players the ability to continue to improve during the spring with power skating and skills based sessions at the Malone Civic Center.
