Passing through an attractive wetland area almost immediately from the parking lot, you will enjoy the sounds of local wild birds singing your praises. Then you start your moderate to steep climb up the shoulder of Azure. The trail is heavily used and easy to follow. Passing through tall fields of brambles you gain elevation quickly. Once on the summit, the fire tower is open for you to visit, but also be sure to hike the path along the edge over to a neat balanced boulder.
