Chateaugay is a beautiful town with a strong agricultrual history, located in the northeast corner of Franklin County. Apporximately 2,000 people call this community home.

Agriculture

One thing that's for certain, when you're in Chateaugay you know you're in the middle of some of the best farm land in Franklin County. Most of the local dairy farmers send their milk to the Agrimark/McCadam Co-op on McCadam Lane. Stopping at the McCadam Cheese store located at the Co-op is a must. The store is full of different cheeses made right on site, but what the locals love are the cheese curds.

High Falls Park Campground is truly a hidden gem in Chateaugay. The Campground offers several different camping options from cabin and camper rentals, to sites with full hookups for campers and tents of your own. This is truly a family-friendly camping experience, the kids will enjoy the pool, horseshoes, volleyball, baseball, playground, fishing, basketball, snack bar, nature trails, and hay rides.  Both adults and children will enjoy the 120' High Falls waterfall. The High Falls are nothing less than spectacular, between the beautiful scenes and the most serene sounds, you'll walk back to your campsite relieved of any stress you may have brought with you!
