Hendrickson Hatch Catch and Release Fly Fishing Tournament

Malone's summer events season really kicks off with the Hendrickson Hatch Catch and Release Fly Fishing Tournament. Anglers of all ages can compete for prizes along the stretch of the Salmon River between Chasm Falls and Route 37 in Westville.

The registration fee is $70 for adults (a fishing license is required) and $25 for kids 16 and under. If you are interested, be sure to pre-register using the online form.

2019 Summer Fest

Nothing says summer like barbecue, live music, and family fun, and nobody does it quite like Malone. Stop by Arsenal Green Park on June 8 and get ready to party -- summer is finally here! Held in the park, the day will include free live music by Durham County Poets, bouncy houses, face painting, a bike rodeo, and a bike parade.

Franklin County Fair

The Franklin County Fair is a huge, ten-day event that's full of games, live music, midway rides, agricultural exhibits, and more. This year's headliners include Larry the Cable Guy on Saturday, August 3 and Air Supply on Friday, August 9, but don't overlook some of the fair's annual attractions, like the demolition derbies, lawnmower race, and horse shows.

Titus Tough Jeep Rally

Get ready to get muddy! The Titus Tough Jeep Rally is a chance for off-road enthusiasts to show off their skills on mud, rocks, and other obstacles on courses for stock, intermediate, and modified vehicles. Whether you show up at Titus Mountain on August 17 to watch or to drive, an exciting day is guaranteed.

Ongoing events

Farmers market

Malone's farmers market begins on June 5 and happens from noon to 4:30 every Wednesday through early October at the Malone Airport pavilion on Route 11. You'll find all sort of delightful things like fresh local produce, locally raised meat, plants, hanging baskets, wine, crafts, baked goods, herbs, and jams and jellies.

Summer concerts in the park

Free music by regional talent at 6 p.m. in Arsenal Green Park every Friday evening from June 28-July 26.

Open mic night at Pouring Light Studio

For an eclectic blend of live local entertainment, look no further than Pouring Light's open mic at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. Admission is $3, performers and kids 12 and under are free.

Events are a great centerpiece to your stay in the Malone Region. Start planning your visit today!
